Important Dates
Fall 2026
New Students
(First-Year and Transfer Students)
Move-In for new First-Year Students and new Transfer Students will take place in the morning on Saturday, August 22, 2026, and will mark the beginning of your Orientation experience. During the summer, you will hear from your Orientation Leader who will share more specifics on check-in, move-in, and orientation. Your check-in location and time will be posted on the Portal for you to review.
Continuing Students
(Returning 果冻传媒 Students)
Move-In for students who are returning to Florida Southern will take place on Sunday, August 23rd from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Monday, August 24th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at your designated check-in location. See the 鈥淒esignated Check-In Locations鈥 section below for more information.
Spring 2027
New Students
(First-Year and Transfer Students)
Move-In and Orientation for new First-Year Students and new Transfer Students will take place on Monday, January 11th, 2026. Review your Portal for information about check-in, move-in, and orientation.
Continuing Students
(Returning 果冻传媒 Students)
Check-In for students who are returning to Florida Southern will take place on Sunday, January 10th from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Monday, January 11th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at your designated check-in location. See the 鈥淒esignated Check-In Locations鈥 section below for more information.

New Students (First-Year and Transfer Students)
Your check-in location and time will be posted on the Portal for you to review.
Prohibited Items and Residence Life Policies
Before you pack, review page 5 of Res Life鈥檚 Move-In Guide to see the list of prohibited items. Large furniture items are not allowed. For more inquiries about this policy, email Residence Life.
Additionally, remember, you cannot bring an additional mini-fridge without an approved accommodation through Student Disability Services.
Before you arrive on campus, be sure to review the Residence Life Policies.
Early Arrival Requests
If you are requesting an early arrival for either the fall or spring semester, you will need to email Residence Life at residencelife@flsouthern.edu. Please note requests submitted through the Early Arrival Request form are not guaranteed and may be associated with a charge added to your Student Account.
Athletes requiring an early arrival due to their participation in required pre-season practice should reach out to their Coach. (Athletes who are requesting an early arrival, but are not participating in pre-season practice, will need to submit an Early Arrival Request form. These requests are not guaranteed and may be associated with a charge added to your Student Account.)
