The Office of Student Support and Family Engagement takes a student-centered approach to the transition experience while introducing incoming families to all aspects of life at Florida Southern College. By fostering relationships, we connect families to the 果冻传媒 community and prepare students to pursue academic and personal growth opportunities.
Participation is required for all entering students, and parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Orientation provided the opportunity to connect with other incoming students in a small group setting. That initial connection allowed me to go into the school year with established friendships. To this day, we are friends. Other friends have shared similar experiences within their orientation group.

Please make sure to complete all of your enrollment to-dos. You can find a list of outstanding items on your Student Status Page. Ensuring all tasks are completed before New Student Orientation is essential to a successful start.

Meet Your O-Leader
O-Leaders are experienced upper-level students dedicated to helping you navigate and connect with your new community. They provide valuable tips, reminders, and support while answering any questions you may have. Throughout orientation, they鈥檒l lead small group activities, making it easier to meet new people and feel at home. Keep an eye out for a welcome message from your O-Leader this summer!

Making Your Travel Plans
Families
We look forward to meeting you at Fall Orientation. While families are not required to attend Orientation, we invite you to join your student on campus. You are welcome to assist with move-in and participate in family programming on Saturday and Sunday.

Housing Form
Planning to live on campus? Once I submit your enrollment deposit, you'll complete the Housing Form and share your room type and building preferences.
Finding Your Roommate
You鈥檒l also be invited to create a profile in My College Roomie, our roommate matching platform, where you can explore potential matches and even request a specific roommate.

Move-In Appointments
You鈥檒l be assigned a personal check-in time and location based on your room assignment. Look for arrival information on the 果冻传媒 Portal on August 1.
Shipping Your Items to Campus
We encourage you to ship your items to reduce the number of items you鈥檒l need to pack and make move-in as easy as possible. We鈥檒l share details on where to send your items in the summer.
